I’m a lifetime subscriber to SplashID Safe and have been using it for years, keeping up with the many updates/upgrades. Maybe the system requirements are about to change when version 9 of the idevice app is released? I certainly hope not! But if that’s what’s coming, I’ll just switch to using mSecure, which still works on older desktop systems and is better in many respects, except for its poor record icon customization capabilities. Newer hardware and macOS versions aren’t mentioned in any of the release notes on the SplashID website. I don’t know when the listing here changed to state that Apple’s M-series hardware and macOS 11 (Big Sur) were required to run the desktop app, but that’s inaccurate based on my experience. You can use the latest macOS version of the SplashID desktop app on Apple’s Intel-CPU hardware running macOS High Sierra (10.13), and maybe even systems running older versions of macOS than that. If you’re considering using SplashID yourself, don’t believe the system requirements shown in the listing here at the iOS App Store. It’s been a long time since I complained about the “favorite stars,” which I don’t use and wish would go away (or at least be made hide-able), so I’ll do that here – minus one star for the stars. The attachments display bug has indeed been fixed.
